Serena Rose Schumacher
Raised in the dusty southwest desert, Serena found her way to the lush green of Tennesee so she could learn pottery from her uncle Thor, who owns Fragrant Mushroom in Sparta, TN. She quickly became enamored by the various trees and foliage, which helped her coin the name Lost Leaf.
I grew up as a photographer and musician, always dreaming about being able to live off my artwork. Neither one of those mediums panned out as a career for me. When I visited my uncle in Tennessee, I fell in love with the lifestyle he had created for himself as a potter. I suggested the idea of moving to Tennessee to help him retire from his business and keep the flame alive for Fragrant Mushroom.
