Artist statement:
"Constant exploration leads an artist to many frontiers.
Most are total fantasy, but some turn out to be valid, and worth exploring further.
After decades of creating large pulp paintings of Nature, my explorations led me to explore the world of miniature paintings.
Quite a change of direction - from large to tiny, from pulp to casein, but still visions of Nature.
Another exploration brought me to Lithophanes - mysterious 3D printed images that only show clearly when light passes through them.
Made from my own paintings and images sent to me by clients, these Lithophanes are great as nightlights and window or desk display, depending on the available light source.
Lots of side trips down other avenues have produced an array of various art forms - these are not on my website and only available at the studio.
